What is a Guild?
Merriam-Webster's first definition of a guild is: an association of people with similar interests or pursuits, especially: a medieval association of merchants or craftsmen. Wikipedia, The Free Encyclopedia, says: A guild is an association of artisans and merchants who oversee the practice of their craft/trade in a particular area.
